Ingredients for our Breakfast Power Smoothies

Each morning begins with a quick healthy breakfast. Our family enjoys a few options, such as oatmeal or plant-based yogurt. when I have a little more time, I whip up some Berry Green Pancakes, which will be a post for another day. Along with our morning oatmeal or vegan yogurt, we drink a Berry Power Green Smoothie. This is my way of getting those raw greens in at the beginning of the day for my family. This smoothie is my daughter’s and my favorite. My son, although he drinks it, prefers a chocolate smoothie, which I make for dessert, not typically for breakfast. The Berry Green Smoothie starts with a high powered blender. I pack in 4 cups of the Power Greens from Costco, grab one 8oz bag of the Frozen Antioxidant Blend from Costco( The blend has six 8oz packs and includes a mix of berries, cherries, and pomegranate seeds), 1 table spoon of Flaxseeds, 1 table spoon of Chia Seeds, six dates, and 2 cups of water. Blend all ingredients until smooth. If you find you need to add more water, add little bits at a time. Time to enjoy a cold nutritious smoothie.
